A rescue dog has gained attention online due to a unique habit revealed in her daycare report card, highlighting her personality. Tori Parks and her husband, Camden, adopted Maggie when she was 3 months old. They suspect she is a mix of Staffordshire bull terrier, pit bull, and Labrador. To aid socialization and enrichment, they occasionally take Maggie to doggy daycare, as shared with Newsweek.
Each daycare visit comes with a report card for the owners, describing the dog’s mood, behavior, activities, interactions, and staff observations. Though accustomed to these reports, a recent one amused the couple. Parks posted images of the report card and daycare camera footage on Maggie’s TikTok account, @maggiemoomoo123, on May 28. The images depicted Maggie confidently sitting in the teacher’s chair, supervising other dogs.
“They have cameras in the room, so when I checked in on her, I saw her sitting in the chair,” Parks explained. “So, I had to screenshot it! Then they ended up writing it in the report card. She sits there every time she is there!”
The daycare staff’s observation wasn’t an isolated incident. Parks mentioned that Maggie consistently occupies the chair during daycare, seeming more comfortable with each visit, and spending longer periods seated.
“I was laughing so hard,” Parks revealed. “What they write in these report cards sums up her personality perfectly. She sits there every time she is there.”
While the behavior might be unusual for a daycare setting, it’s routine at home. Maggie often sits in chairs like a human, even joining the family at the dinner table.
“She will know when I am plating dinner or if the timer goes off and I need to take dinner out of the oven,” Parks said. “That means dinner is almost done, so she sits at her seat.”
The couple embraces Maggie’s human-like traits, considering her their “only child.” They indulge her personality, allowing these behaviors. Besides her penchant for the chair, Maggie receives positive daycare reviews. Parks stated that all her report cards are glowing, and they showcase them on their refrigerator.
