In North Texas, Republicans from Rockwall County recently recited the Texas pledge at the state Republican convention held at the downtown Houston convention center. The biennial state Republican convention saw a large turnout this week. Hundreds of attendees filled a ballroom, with some sitting on the floor or standing at the back. They were there for a particularly popular panel titled: “Don’t sharia my Texas.”
