Ongoing Investigation into the Disappearance of South Carolina Fitness Trainer

7 days ago 0

The search continues for Elena Katherine Moore, a 39-year-old fitness trainer who went missing after leaving a gym in Lexington, South Carolina. Last seen late on June 11 at a Planet Fitness, Moore’s disappearance was reported by her husband, Brannon Slice, the following day.

According to the Lexington Police Department, no further contact has been made with Moore. Inspector Missy Silcox stated that as of late Tuesday, there was no evidence of foul play. Mr. Slice is not considered a person of interest and is cooperating with the investigation, as confirmed by Harry Dukes of Dukes Investigations & Consulting.

Late Tuesday, police released new photographs of Moore in a Publix parking lot. The images show her walking towards Old Cherokee Road, dressed in an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants. A doorbell camera also captured Moore a week before her disappearance. Despite these images, her whereabouts remain unknown.

Moore, who works as a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center, had stopped posting regularly on social media about a month before she was reported missing. Her friend Lauren Beasley noted that this was unusual behavior for Moore, who was typically very active online.

“She is very active on social media so her going radio silent for the last month is out of character,” Beasley said.

Dukes Investigations & Consulting has offered a $1,500 reward for information leading to Moore’s location. The company urges residents to review their security cameras for any potential footage of Moore.

Harry Dukes expressed hope that the released photographs would aid the investigation, though he noted they do not provide a complete picture of Moore’s recent activities. He emphasized that Moore’s physical fitness makes walking a likely activity for her.

Moore is described as standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with any information related to her case is encouraged to contact the Lexington Police Department at (803) 358-7271.
