The wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift attracted numerous celebrity attendees, including notable NFL players and sports figures. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Cooper Kupp, and others attended the event at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Kareem Hunt, another familiar face, joined the crowd as well as Kelce’s brother Jason, now retired from the Philadelphia Eagles.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, among others from different sports, also attended the celebration. The event even saw the presence of soccer-related personalities through Jason Sudeikis, known for his role in “Ted Lasso” and being an avid Kansas City Chiefs supporter.
The occasion took place at the home venue of the New York Knicks and the NHL’s Rangers, a location with a rich sports history. Taylor Swift notably attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals there, witnessing the Knicks’ historic comeback against San Antonio. Madison Square Garden has hosted numerous iconic events since its opening in 1968.
The Knicks secured their first NBA title there in 1970, with Willis Reed’s memorable comeback. Madison Square Garden was also the venue for the 1971 “Fight of the Century” between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali, with Ali claiming victory in their 1974 rematch. The Garden was where the Rangers ended their 54-year championship drought in 1994, winning the Stanley Cup against the Vancouver Canucks.
Travis Kelce boasts three Super Bowl victories with Kansas City and has been named AP All-Pro four times in his position. His brother Jason, a seven-time All-Pro center, contributed to Philadelphia’s Super Bowl win during the 2017 season.
