Tuesday might mark the final appearance of baseball icon Justin Verlander and Kate Upton on the MLB All-Star Red Carpet in Philadelphia. Verlander, chosen as the All-Star Game’s “Legend Pick,” plans to retire at the end of the season.

During the event, Verlander, aged 43, quashed any speculation of a comeback. He stated, “I don’t know if there’s much you can do at this point.” Despite his teammate Tarik Skubal joking that many legends return, Verlander remained doubtful. “Here we are at the All-Star Break and I can’t get healthy and pitch. But hopefully, I get healthy in the second half, you know?” he shared.
