KC Navarro recently competed in the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) X Division Championship at Slammiversary. Though he narrowly missed victory, the experience was significant. Navarro faced his mentor, Amazing Red, during the match, resulting in a memorable sequence.
Navarro shared his journey battling his fear of heights. He expressed how challenging it was to ascend the pillar to reach the title. He stated, “Ultimate X was more special for me because Amazing Red was in it. Amazing Red has been a mentor throughout my career.” The opportunity to share the ring with his mentor was a unique moment for Navarro.
Reflecting on past experiences, Navarro recalled participating in a ladder match with a torn ACL. He expressed gratitude for having a new chance to pursue the X Division title in the Ultimate X match. Competing alongside wrestling names like Leon Slater, Fabian Aichner, Mr. Elegance, and Frankie Kazarian, Navarro felt privileged to be part of a well-matched lineup.
Navarro explained that overcoming his fear of heights is essential to his wrestling career. He said, “I’m not a fan of heights. I keep God first and rely on adrenaline. Once that bell rings, the focus shifts to getting the belt.” His positive mindset ensures he remains healthy and capable on the mat.
Navarro currently finds himself in a feud with TNA world champion Nic Nemeth. This rivalry might elevate his status in the roster.
