On July 11, Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero expressed his affection for his 3-year-old daughter on Facebook. He shared photos and wrote, “I love you, my beautiful princess.” Tragically, just two days later, Durán Guerrero was fatally shot by ICE during an attempted traffic stop.
Durán Guerrero was known as a devoted family man with aspirations for a better future for his daughter. His sudden death has prompted many to remember him for his commitment to his family and the dreams he held.
In Biddeford, Maine, a makeshift memorial was created for Durán Guerrero, where community members gathered to honor his memory and mourn his untimely passing.
