1 week ago 0

A powerful tornado struck the south side of Appleton, Wisconsin, on Monday around midday. The storm resulted in considerable destruction. The National Weather Service is assessing the damage to determine if it meets the EF3 category. If so, this would mark the fourth EF3 tornado in Wisconsin this year.

The fierce tornado caused the roof of Miller Electric in Appleton to collapse. Forecasters had predicted an increased chance of severe weather on Monday. However, they had only indicated a low likelihood for tornadoes.
