Fatal Shooting at Twin Falls In-N-Out Burger

A shooting at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in multiple fatalities on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities. Twin Falls Police Department Chief Matthew Hicks stated that while the exact number of deaths remains unconfirmed, the suspected shooter died at the scene.

Local station KTVB reported that three individuals were killed and two others were injured during the incident. At a press conference held on Saturday evening, Hicks described the scene as ‘very chaotic’ and noted that hundreds of people present at the restaurant were being interviewed.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, leading to road closures around the restaurant. This included the Perrine Memorial Bridge over the Snake River. Residents nearby were instructed to shelter in place. The FBI was expected to join local law enforcement in the investigation by Saturday evening.

Chief Hicks reassured the public by stating, ‘We believe that the threat to the community is over.’ He also mentioned that authorities are working to identify the shooter and understand the motivations behind the attack.

In-N-Out had announced earlier this year that it would open the Twin Falls location as part of a larger expansion plan, including other locations across California, Arizona, Utah, and Tennessee. The Twin Falls location, described as one of the busiest in Southern Idaho, is listed as temporarily closed on the company’s website.
