On the following Sunday, Andrade shared the aftermath of the attack. Posting on social media, he displayed a severe cut on his head. He indicated that he might be out of action for several weeks. “Hi everyone and especially Las Señoritas! I’ve just landed back in Miami, where I live, and I went straight to the DR,” he wrote. “I hadn’t been feeling well since the Wednesday after the Grand Slam, but as a professional, I had two shows in Canada with MLP.” He mentioned he would need some time to recover but assured fans that “it’s nothing serious.”
“I’ll keep you posted, but I have to be out of action for a few days or weeks. It’s nothing serious, but… I have one question?”
Ongoing Feud
In a subsequent post, MJF took pride in his actions against Andrade, writing a mocking message online. “HAHAHAHAHAHA How you know? OH I KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED!” he taunted.
Additional updates from Andrade revealed he required six stitches due to the injuries sustained from the attack. This feud between Andrade and MJF has been ongoing since MJF’s involvement with the Don Callis Family, a storyline faction in AEW. After MJF reclaimed the AEW World Championship from Darby Allin at Double or Nothing, tensions between these wrestlers escalated further.
