Authorities have uncovered a drug trafficking operation involving two fraternities at Penn State University. Agostino Abbatiello, aged 24, identified as one of the ring leaders, faced arraignment on Tuesday. His bail was denied as he was charged with multiple felonies, including possession with intent to deliver cocaine and conspiracy.

The investigation also led to charges against 13 other individuals. Among them are former students and at least four current Penn State students. The group reportedly used the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternity houses for drug packaging activities.

The discovery of this drug ring has cast a shadow over the campus, raising concerns about safety and illegal activities among students. The authorities’ swift action was necessary to dismantle the network and prevent further distribution of narcotics in the community.
