Social media uproar followed a report that Minneapolis police raided the home of Adnan Hirsi, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s son, amid accusations against his roommate. The operation, conducted earlier this week, led to the confiscation of firearms and ammunition, culminating in the arrest of Abdulrahman Abdi, Alpha News reported.
Notably, Hirsi has not been implicated in any illegal activity, nor is Rep. Ilhan Omar involved in the matter.
The revelation that the arrested individual shares a residence with Rep. Omar’s son ignited responses from her right-wing critics across social media platforms.
Steve Ferguson, a small business owner with nearly 300,000 followers on X, wrote, “Nothing to see here. Move along.”
Right-wing activist Benny Johnson commented, “Not a good look for Ilhan Omar.”
Another online presence, “Spitfire,” noted, “This Omar investigation is getting more interesting by the day.”
Columnist Derek Hunter from Townhall questioned Omar’s parenting skills, referencing an unverified online conspiracy theory about her previous marriage, which she has denied.
Right-wing commentator Gunther Eagleman called for the deportation of Ilhan Omar and her family.
Eitan Fischberger, a columnist and former staff sergeant in the Israeli military, criticized Ilhan Omar, citing her support of violent jihad and mentioning incidents involving her children.
The report was also circulated without comment by former Trump advisors, Corey Lewandowski and Sean Spicer.
A search warrant was executed at the residence shared by Abdi and Hirsi. Firearms and ammunition were seized, and Abdi was arrested earlier that day. Hirsi was not reported to have committed any wrongdoing.
The Minneapolis Police Department, reached by Fox News Digital, declined to comment on the incident. Fox News Digital confirmed Abdi’s arrest and noted his booking around noon on Tuesday. Records show he was released shortly before midnight the following day.
Rep. Omar, known for advocating gun control, did not provide immediate comments on the matter. Fox News Digital approached her office for a response.
