Will Levis Seeks New Beginnings After Being Waived by the Titans

An NFL quarterback is seeking new opportunities following challenges early in his career. Will Levis, drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, is looking for a fresh start before the regular season.

The Titans picked Levis, who appeared in 21 games for them, but in 2025, they chose Cam Ward with the No. 1 draft pick. According to reports, Tennessee waived Levis on Sunday. He is anticipated to enter free agency shortly. Levis is rumored to have desired his release from the team.

“Titans waiving QB Will Levis, as Tom Pelissero said,” Jeremy Fowler of ESPN posted on X. “I’m told Levis wanted out. Gets the fresh start he coveted.”

During his tenure with the Titans, Levis had a record of 5-16 as a starter. He amassed 3,899 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. In a training camp earlier, Levis shared with reporters about his growth since joining the NFL. He asserted his confidence in becoming a strong quarterback.

I feel like I worked a lot for other peoples’ approval at the beginning of my career whereas I am just trying to be the best version of me at this point, Levis stated through the Titans communications. And I have more confidence than I’ve ever had because of that. I don’t need to go out there and win X amount of games to feel the confidence; I have the confidence right now. He further expressed confidence in his abilities, declaring, I know that I have put the tape out there already that I’m a dang good quarterback in this league, and I am better than I ever have been.

Levis now has the chance to prove himself to another team. He will need to climb the ranks at any new team he joins.

Malik Willis, another quarterback drafted by the Titans in 2022, ultimately found success elsewhere. He served as a backup for the Green Bay Packers from 2024 to 2025, before becoming the Miami Dolphins’ starting quarterback in the recent offseason. Levis hopes for a similar turnaround.
