Simon and Yasmin Le Bon Enjoy a European Vacation

Duran Duran’s lead vocalist, Simon Le Bon, has been enjoying a sun-drenched holiday in Europe with his wife, Yasmin Le Bon. The couple, Simon at 67 and Yasmin at 61, was recently captured by photographers as they spent a leisurely day at the beach in Sardinia.

Le Bon was seen in red swim shorts, complemented by a white V-neck T-shirt. He occasionally wore the shirt during their walk, letting it drape around his neck at other times. Yasmin made an appearance in a classic black string bikini, enhancing their beach outing. They leisurely strolled along the Sardinian coastline together.

Between the images, the couple was also captured taking a refreshing dip in the ocean, cooling off with friends in knee-deep water. Other photos showed them with friends on a boat, Yasmin sunbathing, and Simon steering the boat before both jumped into the sea to swim.

Yasmin and Simon met back in 1984 after Simon expressed interest, having seen her photograph in photographer Mike Owen’s portfolio. This led to an invite to the ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ premiere. Their friendship developed into romance, leading to their engagement and marriage in December 1985.

Reflecting on their relationship, Simon commented to the Daily Mirror in December 2010, ‘I wake up in the morning and for ten minutes or so I just get to look at her sleeping peacefully. That’s kind of all you need to know about me,’ highlighting their enduring bond and marriage of over 40 years.

Simon achieved fame as the frontman of Duran Duran, alongside bandmates Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Andy Taylor. Formed in 1978, the band soared to international prominence with their 1982 album ‘Rio,’ featuring hits like ‘Hungry Like the Wolf’ and ‘Save a Prayer.’

Throughout their career, Duran Duran has achieved significant milestones, including two Grammy Awards and two BRIT Awards, along with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2022, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Despite decades, Simon continues to create music with the band, upholding their legacy.

Le Bon expressed continued enthusiasm for making music in a Stereogum interview in November 2021. He described the thrill of creating new music as unchanged over the last 40 years. Most recently, the band released ‘Free To Love,’ featuring Nile Rodgers, in April 2026.
