Before this planned trip to Ireland, President Trump disembarked from Air Force One in Marietta, Georgia, on July 22. Security measures for the gifted Boeing 747 have been a concern. The president’s plan is to fully enhance the jet’s security in the future, but these efforts will pause until after the upcoming trip to Ireland.
The decision to use the Qatar-gifted aircraft highlights a shift in the president’s choice of transportation for international engagements.
