Arlington, Texas – Arike Ogunbowale set a new WNBA playoff record by scoring 45 points, including a crucial three-pointer that tied the game in the final seconds of regulation. The Dallas Wings defeated the Golden State Valkyries 108-100 in an overtime match on Wednesday night, pushing the first-round series to a decisive Game 3.

Ogunbowale started the overtime with a banked three-pointer and followed up with another, giving Dallas a 103-100 lead with 1:46 remaining. Her performance surpassed her prior playoff best of 24 points.

The four-time All-Star made a significant contribution by hitting an off-balance three-pointer from the corner to tie the game at 93-93 with 4.1 seconds remaining in Game 2. Gabby Williams was called for an offensive foul during the inbound play after a Golden State timeout, but the call was overturned upon review, resulting in a jump ball at center court with 3 seconds left. Golden State’s last attempt missed the target entirely after the buzzer.

The decisive Game 3 is scheduled for Friday night in San Francisco, where Golden State won the opener by 24 points. The Valkyries aim to advance in the playoffs for the first time in their second season.

The late-game heroics overshadowed a tough night for Wings star Paige Bueckers, who made her postseason debut. The 2025 No. 1 overall pick and Rookie of the Year scored 10 points, shooting 3-of-13 from the field.

Gabby Williams achieved a career-high 36 points, spanning both regular season and playoff games, but faltered in the final 1:31 of overtime, missing all six attempts to finish 12 of 23. Alysha Clark of Dallas tied her playoff career high with 21 points.
