Laura Clery recounted a terrifying incident that could have been fatal. The comedian, 39, experienced her worst fear while alone at home with her two young children. A massive 600-pound fridge fell, pinning her against the counter. She shared this ordeal through a video on Instagram.

As Clery prepared for bed, the heavy appliance suddenly slammed into her, leaving her unable to move or breathe. In her social media post, she expressed immense gratitude for having her phone in her pocket. This enabled her to dial 911 for help while fearing for her life.

It took three firefighters to lift the fridge off Clery. She praised their quick response and skills, highlighting their role in saving her life. Collapsing inside her house, she emphasized how fortunate it was that the fridge didn’t fall on her children.

From an ambulance, Clery thanked the first responders again. Wearing a neck brace, she acknowledged the seriousness of her injuries but was relieved to be alive. Reflecting on the event, she expressed her relief that there were no broken bones and her children remained unharmed.

“This was right after the fentanyl hit and all of my pain [went] away instantly,” she noted. Clery also mentioned the first responders’ entry through her garage door, showcasing their determination to rescue her quickly.
