The Indianapolis 500 stands out as a unique race within the IndyCar series. It is the season’s biggest event, occurring mid-season after a month’s preparation. Winning this race can be a dream come true for many drivers, but for Felix Rosenqvist, it led to a busy week filled with activities.

Rosenqvist claimed victory at the NTT IndyCar Series 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 24, 2026. Immediately after crossing the finish line, his responsibilities began. According to IndyCar, his multiple media engagements started right after the race and continued for several hours.

The following Monday, Rosenqvist participated in more interviews, attended a photo session, and celebrated his win at the Victory Celebration event. His busy schedule continued with a trip to New York. There, he appeared in interviews, visited landmarks like the Empire State Building and Times Square, and attended the premiere of Indy 500 Grand Marshal Brendan Fraser’s movie, “Pressure.”

Back in Indianapolis, Rosenqvist’s engagements didn’t slow down. He even threw the first pitch at a Tigers game before the upcoming Detroit Grand Prix weekend. Managing all these commitments was no small feat, especially just two weeks after becoming a father.

Despite the exhaustion, Rosenqvist found enjoyment in the busy schedule. He remarked, “Obviously, I’m tired, but I had fun with it. There were many interviews, but it’s important to take advantage of the moment. I feel like I’m representing motorsports in a unique way. It’s good for the sport.”

His victory was significant for the sport, particularly after such a close finish in the Indy 500’s history. Now, Rosenqvist aims to capitalize on this momentum. He will compete in the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, where he starts from P16. Championship leader Alex Palou will start on pole, with Will Power beside him in P2.

The excitement continues as Rosenqvist looks to become the first driver in recent history to win the subsequent race following an Indianapolis 500 victory.
