Illinois Man Accused of Threatening FBI Agent in Minneapolis

2 months ago 0

An Illinois resident, Jose Alberto Ramirez, faces accusations related to threatening an FBI special agent in Minneapolis. This development emerged from courtroom documents obtained by Fox News.

Ramirez is scheduled to appear in a federal court on Wednesday afternoon due to charges linked with intimidating an FBI agent. The threats allegedly arose from information contained in documents stolen following the contentious shooting of Renee Good. According to the affidavit, agitators managed to access government vehicles in Minneapolis and subsequently stole documents which included personal information.

The affidavit outlines that, “The employees’ personal details and documents were compromised, leading to several documents, featuring residential addresses, contact numbers, and email addresses being posted publicly on social media.”

The case also notes that an FBI logo was visibly displayed on a bulletproof jacket in San Diego on September 26, 2025. According to the affidavit, contentious text messages filled with profanities were dispatched to the FBI special agent’s work phone. These messages originated from a particular phone number.

The text transcripts within the affidavit described the messages as, “[Victim A’s Full Name}, ‘Yahahahahhahaha b**** a** n****, I know where your mom lives bro. And your dad. And your kids buddy.’ ‘Get home safe and fast.’” Additionally, a voicemail from the same phone reiterated, “What up [Victim A’s First Name]? You b**** a** n****. Your day will come n****. B**** a** n****.”

In tandem with this scenario, the manager at Woodfield Mall in Illinois brought up a 2024 complaint, reaching out to Schaumberg Police Department. Court documents suggest that the manager reported an employee named Jose Ramirez to law enforcement and confirmed the same phone number associated with the intimidating texts and voicemails aimed at the FBI agent. The manager reported that Ramirez was dismissed for threatening another employee and warned of his intent to return to the workplace.

Ramirez’s criminal record comprises various felonies and misdemeanors in Illinois, including Misdemeanor Domestic Battery/Physical Contact in 2017, Felony Burglary in 2017, Felony Mob Action in 2020, and Felony Burglary in 2023, as detailed in the affidavit.
