Kelly Clarkson has announced that her successful daytime talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” will conclude after its seventh season. Clarkson chose Instagram as the platform to share the news with her fans on Monday, February 2. The 43-year-old singer expressed her gratitude for the remarkable individuals she worked alongside during the show’s run, both in Los Angeles and New York.
In her heartfelt statement, Clarkson highlighted the incredible moments and episodes experienced throughout the seven seasons of the show. She conveyed her deep appreciation and honor to have collaborated with “the greatest band and crew” and the many talented and inspiring guests who shared their stories on the show.
Reflecting on her decision to end the show, Clarkson acknowledged it was not an easy choice. She thanked the loyal fans and NBC for their unwavering support. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” she explained.
Clarkson shares two children, River Rose, 11, and Remington, 9, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The couple was married for approximately seven years before their divorce in June 2020. Tragically, Blackstock passed away in August 2025 at the age of 48 after battling melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
Although she is stepping away from the talk show, Clarkson reassured fans that this is not a permanent farewell. She hinted at her continued presence in the entertainment industry, mentioning potential music projects, occasional live performances, and possible appearances on “The Voice.” “You never know where I might show up next,” she wrote.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities who commented on her post. One supporter encouraged Clarkson to prioritize her family, writing, “Love you ❤️ do what’s best for you and your family, and we will always support you.” Carnie Wilson and Olivia Munn also expressed their admiration and support.
Clarkson’s seven-year tenure on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” was marked by numerous accolades, including 24 Daytime Emmy Awards. These awards recognized her show with four honors for best daytime talk series and four for best talk show host.
