30,000 Pounds of Argentine Beef Recalled for Lack of Inspection

The U.S. Agriculture Department (USDA) has recalled approximately 30,000 pounds of Argentine beef due to lack of inspection prior to importation. The beef was supplied by Corte Argentino USA and transported to retailers and grocery distributors in Florida and Texas.

The beef, comprising various cuts, was produced between May 15 and May 20. It carried freeze-by dates ranging from September 15 to September 20. Despite its distribution across two major states, the beef did not undergo the mandatory inspection process required before entering the United States.

Federal officials highlighted the importance of ensuring that all imported meat products are inspected to maintain food safety standards. Consumers are advised to check their purchases and avoid consuming the recalled beef.
