Meanwhile, political attention in Alabama is focused on the Republican primary runoff for the Senate seat currently held by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R). Rep. Blake Moore, endorsed by President Trump, faces Jared Hudson, a Navy SEAL veteran, in a bid for the GOP nomination.
Both Moore and Hudson moved to the runoff after neither managed to secure over half of the primary vote in the initial election. This runoff is a pivotal moment in securing the Republican nomination for the Senate seat.
