Trump’s Approach to Rebranding the Department of Defense

5 days ago 0

President Donald Trump visited Orly Airport near Paris on June 17. During his presidency, he has expressed dissatisfaction with the United States’ approach to warfare, stating, “we don’t win wars anymore.” He attributes this issue to what he considers “wokeness” and “political correctness.”

In response, Trump initiated a change last year by renaming the Department of Defense as the Department of War. His Secretary, Pete Hegseth, strongly backed this alteration. He argued that the department’s objective would be to “fight to win” and conduct warfare with “maximum lethality, not tepid legality.”

This shift reflects a broader strategy to project strength and decisiveness in military engagements.
