2 days ago 0

Alberto Carvalho, who served as the superintendent of Los Angeles Unified School District, has resigned from his position. The district, the second-largest in the United States, accommodates approximately 520,000 students.

Carvalho stepped down months after the FBI conducted searches at his residence and the district’s headquarters. This search took place on February 25, 2026, leading to Carvalho being placed on paid leave just two days later.

Carvalho started his leadership role with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2022. His resignation marks the end of a challenging period for him and the district he helped lead.
