Cam Jordan Sets Sights on Final NFL Season with Saints

Cam Jordan, a legendary figure for the New Orleans Saints, intends to conclude his illustrious NFL career after the upcoming 16th season. Despite not officially announcing retirement, Jordan has hinted that this year will likely be his last.

Coming off a strong 2025 season with 10½ sacks, Jordan re-signed with the Saints for what he anticipates to be his farewell season. He expressed these sentiments during an interview with Fox News Digital while also discussing his role at the Sack Summit in Las Vegas, sponsored by Raising Cane’s.

“I’ve been doing this since year 10,” Jordan stated, conveying his readiness for his last season in the league.

Acknowledging the physical benefits of skipping OTAs, Jordan maintains both his health and candid nature, key traits that have defined his career. With the guidance of first-year head coach Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, he adapted to new strategies, such as performing from a two-point stance. This adjustment paid off, evidenced by his impressive sack numbers.

Jordan remains committed to helping the Saints, believing strongly in the team’s potential. He desires to leave a lasting impact in the Caesars Superdome, which persists as one of his primary motivations.

“The ultimate dream is to win a Super Bowl,” Jordan explained, emphasizing the importance of achieving this milestone in a sport centered on teamwork.

Since being drafted 24th overall in 2011 from Cal Bears, Jordan has built a remarkable career with significant personal accomplishments, including 132 sacks, placing him 17th all-time. His final goal this season is to achieve his eighth double-digit sack season, which would elevate him to the top 10 in all-time sacks.

Reflecting on his career achievements, Jordan considers his Hall of Fame credentials secure. He expects to write a speech for Canton, Ohio, soon, hopefully with the title of ‘Super Bowl champion.’ Having achieved multiple Pro Bowl selections and All-Pro honors, Jordan is determined to give everything he has in this final season.
