She described the situation as a misunderstanding, asserting that her son is not typically in trouble.

Records reveal that on June 16, Metropolitan Transportation Authority police stopped Gabriel Hostin near the New Rochelle station. He was allegedly found within a ‘NO TRESPASSING’ area. A police spokesperson noted that Hostin, observed near an electrified rail, cooperated with officers during the encounter. Although an arrestable offense, the officers issued a summons and released him, crediting his clean record.

Bodycam footage captures Gabriel Hostin questioning the necessity of the summons. An officer explains that, due to surveillance, they opted for a trespass violation instead of an arrest. They acknowledged Hostin’s clean background while making this decision.

Hostin continued to ask for discretion, highlighting her son’s teaching role and reiterating the innocent nature of the incident. Documents show that police caught Gabriel Hostin in an area marked with ‘NO TRESPASSING’ signs. Photos in the records depict the warnings and access points to the property.

Gabriel Hostin is to appear in New Rochelle City Court on July 31. Hostin, in a letter to TMZ, described the incident as an accidental entry during a jog. She claimed the gate was open, and the warning sign was not visible from his entry point.
