Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia plans to bring in 30,000 additional North Korean troops for the conflict in Ukraine. This move would significantly increase North Korea’s direct role if verified. Zelensky noted this in his nightly address, drawing from information reported by Reuters.

Preparations for the troops have been ongoing since June in Russia’s Voronezh region.

“Russia wants to bring in another 30,000 North Korean troops,” Zelensky said.
