Kerri Rawson, known as the daughter of the infamous ‘BTK’ serial killer Dennis Rader, is facing a domestic violence injunction. Her ex-husband, Darian Rawson, claimed she made alarming warnings about potential dangers to him and their children, according to court documents initially reported by the New York Post.
Since her father’s arrest in 2005, Kerri Rawson has emerged as a bestselling author and an advocate for crime victims. She frequently shares her experiences of growing up with a father who went on to become a notorious serial killer. A Florida judge recently granted the injunction following a petition by Darian Rawson. The court documents highlight a series of incidents that had left him fearful for his and their teenage children’s safety.
The court’s temporary order granted Darian Rawson full custody of the children. It also restricted Kerri Rawson’s interactions with them to electronic communications, barring her from their residence, school, and contact with their pets as well.

According to the petition, Kerri Rawson allegedly compelled her former husband to meet at an Altamonte Springs police station on January 5, 2025. There, she purportedly asserted that her psychic abilities revealed their children were in imminent danger, claiming they would be murdered that same morning.
Further claims state that Rawson alerted police about supposed threats, later calling 911 to report fake shootings and deceased individuals. Officers who responded found the family unharmed, and the police report corroborated these details, as noted by the New York Post.

Law enforcement officials located Rawson at Orlando International Airport, subsequently taking her to a hospital where she voluntarily admitted herself. Under Florida’s Baker Act, which permits temporary detention for a mental health evaluation, she was later detained.
An incident report obtained by the Post detailed Rawson’s tendency to deliver inaccurate or fabricated statements due to mental health issues.
