Megan Moroney Cancels Denver Concert Due to Illness

Country singer Megan Moroney had to cut her Denver concert short on Tuesday night due to illness. She described stopping the performance as “the hardest decision” she has ever faced.

Moroney began her show at Ball Arena but ended after performing only three songs. She returned to the stage to speak directly to her audience, offering an apology amidst tears. “I am obviously extremely sick, and I thought I did everything to make myself better.” she admitted in a video recorded by a fan.

The unfortunate event was reminiscent of Jon Bon Jovi’s sudden end to his Madison Square Garden show. Fan-captured footage showed Moroney fighting tears as illness forced her to end her Denver show.

Despite halting the performance, Moroney reassured her fans of a future makeup concert. Audience members supported her, with one calling out, “That’s OK Meg, I love you,” as she left the stage.

Ball Arena later confirmed the concert cancellation due to her feeling unwell. The venue stated, “Megan is unable to continue her performance this evening due to illness.” They promised to notify attendees with further information soon.

Moroney later shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She expressed her disappointment and intended to deliver only a full-quality show. After performing just three songs, she knew she couldn’t give the performance fans deserved.

In her message, Moroney revealed she was “bawling” in her dressing room and declared her regret for disappointing her fans, announcing a rescheduled concert for August 27. Tickets from the original date will be honored, with refunds available for those unable to attend.

Her emotional reaction received widespread online support from fans urging her to focus on her health before returning to the stage. Moroney remains determined despite the setback, as her music career thrives.

After her University of Georgia education, she pursued music in Nashville. Her 2022 breakout hit “Tennessee Orange” propelled her into the country music scene, leading to the release of three albums: “Lucky” (2023), “Am I Okay?” (2024), and “Cloud 9” (2026).
