The trial focuses on Patrick Clancy’s testimony. He spoke of his ex-wife’s suicidal thoughts and statements about harming their children. Lindsay Clancy has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder of her children: Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months). Following the incident, she attempted suicide.
The 911 Call
Patrick Clancy’s 911 call occurred after he found his bloodied ex-wife outside their home. He had returned from collecting food and medicine that night. In the call, Patrick Clancy attempts to keep Lindsay conscious as she admits the children were in the basement. He ultimately discovered their bodies and expressed his distress to the dispatcher.

Patrick Clancy testified about Lindsay’s decline in mental health. He described her as a dedicated mother facing insomnia, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. After the incident, Lindsay mentioned hearing voices impelling her actions.
Defense attorney Kevin Reddington highlighted the numerous medications Lindsay was prescribed, referencing her diary to illustrate their effects. Patrick Clancy confirmed she followed medical instructions for taking them.
Patrick discussed Lindsay’s psychiatric treatment at McLean Hospital a month before the tragedy, asserting she showed improvement prior to the incident.
