Will Levis: A Confident Comeback Amid Uncertainty

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis hasn’t seen competitive play since January 2025. Despite this, he remains confident in his abilities. Levis is likely to begin the year as the third-string quarterback for the Titans. Cam Ward, a former first-overall pick, will start the season as QB1. However, Levis seems undeterred by the challenge of reclaiming a starting position in the NFL.

“There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure,” Levis stated to reporters in Nashville. As someone with 21 starting appearances for the Titans, he emphasized his belief in his talent: “I know I’ve put the tape out there already that I’m a dang good quarterback in this league.”

Despite his confidence, Levis’s past performance record reveals areas of contention. His tenure as a starter resulted in a 5-16 record. He threw 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions, alongside 17 fumbles. These statistics offer room for debate regarding his evaluation of his abilities.

The Titans’ team dynamics did not greatly assist him during his starting period. However, his early career struggles were evident. After a season-ending surgery in July 2025 for his throwing shoulder, he spent time on injured reserve. With the NFL season approaching, Levis is in a contest with veteran Mitchell Trubisky for the backup role.
