Justin Herbert and Madison Beer Announce Engagement

Last week, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and pop star Madison Beer announced their engagement. The announcement received 6.5 million likes on Instagram. The couple showed their affection publicly during the Chargers training camp at the University of San Diego on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

A fan account shared a video on X, featuring Beer and Herbert sitting on the field. They gazed at each other as Beer gently stroked Herbert’s hair. Herbert, known for his reserved nature since becoming the NFL’s No. 6 overall pick in 2020, demonstrated his affection without words. One user on X commented, “Being in love wouldn’t describe this. This is like three levels above that.”

Romance rumors began circulating last August when Herbert visited Beer on set. They were later seen at a Los Angeles Lakers game in October. However, they only confirmed their relationship publicly in March when Herbert referred to Beer as “my favorite person of all time” on his Instagram Story for her birthday.

Herbert appeared alongside Beer in her “Lovergirl” music video in May. Later that month, he chose to support her on tour, even skipping a voluntary Chargers workout.

While Herbert enjoys personal success, he continues to seek his first playoff victory in his seventh NFL season. In their last appearance, the Chargers faced a tough defeat against the New England Patriots in the AFC wild card, during which Herbert was sacked six times. Their mission to end a seven-year playoff absence begins with hosting the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 13.
