End of Summer Party at The Shops on Elm Place

43 minutes ago 0

The ’10 Years of Smiles’ event was initiated to celebrate a decade of Gilbert Orthodontics at The Shops on Elm Place in Highland Park. Owner Dr. Josh Gilbert decided to invite neighboring businesses to enhance the celebration. A diverse array of businesses agreed to partake in this first End of Summer Party.

Community Focus

Dr. Josh Gilbert took over the practice a decade ago and saw this as an opportunity to thank a community that welcomed him. The focus on patient comfort and care stands at the heart of his practice. Born and raised in Highland Park, Gilbert cherishes being a part of this community. Gilbert noted, “We’re kind of the hosts of the event,” featuring entertainment like a DJ, bounce house, and face painting. Attendees can also visit Gilbert Orthodontics for free digital scans and a chance to win orthodontic prizes like teeth-whitening.

Participating Businesses

The BBQ Pit, a staple in the community for 48 years, will offer favorites such as macaroni and cheese, pulled pork, and brisket sandwiches. Owned by Gus Karigan, the business maintains a neighborhood ‘Cheers’ atmosphere with a strong rapport with customers.
