Terri DeBoer Aims to Bring Common Sense Values to Michigan’s Third Congressional District

WARREN, Mich. – After securing her Republican primary victory, seasoned meteorologist and Congressional candidate Terri DeBoer expressed readiness to shift Michigan’s Third Congressional District back to Republican control. In an interview with Fox News Digital, DeBoer highlighted the desire for change among constituents. She aims to replace incumbent Democratic Representative Hillary Scholten, promoting values common in West Michigan.

DeBoer, a 61-year-old mother of three, brings over three decades of experience working with several television stations in western Michigan. She plans to revitalize a district historically dominated by Republicans until Scholten’s 2022 win. In her remarks, DeBoer critiques the Democratic Party, accusing it of abandoning fundamental American values.

During discussions of Abdul El-Sayed’s Senate primary win, DeBoer downplayed the notion of increasing support for progressive agendas within the Democratic party. Her discussions with people reveal their gratitude for her dedication to represent their values, claiming the opposite side fails to do so. El-Sayed’s narrow victory over Rep. Haley Stevens captures attention as the nation closely watches the Democratic primaries.

DeBoer expressed that when voters fully grasp the stakes concerning America’s future and its freedoms, the choice becomes evident. Addressing Scholten, DeBoer criticized the discrepancy between Scholten’s moderate campaign persona and her Congressional voting record. For instance, Scholten opposed the SAVE America Act and backed policies DeBoer disagrees with, such as allowing transgender athletes in female sports.

Emphasizing her outsider status, DeBoer conveyed her alignment with voter priorities and promised to champion common-sense values. She identified affordability issues affecting groceries, energy, housing, and healthcare as key concerns. Her campaign focuses on border security, healthcare options, energy reliability, and easing regulations on small businesses.

DeBoer noted that people face financial challenges despite increased effort, which drives her call for reduced government spending and the eradication of waste, fraud, and abuse. Her goal is to restore economic freedom. DeBoer believes a return to affordability is essential for America.
