Republicans Prepare for Challenge Against Vermont’s Becca Balint

2 hours ago 0

Representative Becca Balint, a Democrat from Vermont, is seeking a third term as the only House member from the state. In the upcoming election, two Republicans are competing in the GOP primary for a chance to run against Balint.

Despite their aspirations, the Republican candidates, Mark Coester and Gerald Malloy, face significant challenges. Balint’s previous victory over a Republican rival in 2024 was decisive, with a margin exceeding 30 percentage points.

The general election will determine if either Coester or Malloy can overcome the historical voting patterns that favor Balint in Vermont.
