Buffalo Bills Address Stadium Concerns

2 hours ago 0

The Buffalo Bills face criticism over certain issues at their new stadium. The team is tackling these concerns individually, as announced on Monday.

Stadium Experience and Feedback

Fans experienced the new $2.1 billion Highmark Stadium during the Blue and Red practice on Saturday. Most feedback was positive, yet a few complaints emerged. According to team president Pete Guelli, less than 1% of personal seat licensing holders expressed concerns.

Obstructed View Issues

A significant issue raised involved seats with blocked views. Social media displayed photos of partial obstructions. The team noted at least one of these photos, taken by The Associated Press, featured seats not sold for football games. These seats, located in Section 417, had obstructed views due to a nearby press box. While unsuitable for football, these seats could serve better for concerts and other events.

Other images displayed seats with partial obstructions from railings and staircases. Prospective ticket buyers received a virtual tour, showing how their view would appear.

Plans for Improvement

The team plans to address each concern in the weeks leading to the home opener against Detroit on Sept. 17. The Bills will also host two preseason games, beginning with a matchup against Carolina.

Design and Capacity

The stadium design drew inspiration from Tottenham Hotspur’s home, which accommodates both soccer and NFL games in London. Owner Terry Pegula praised the scarcity of poor seats in the Hotspur stadium. The Bills aim for a similar experience in Highmark Stadium, which can hold 60,108 attendees.
