Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “TODAY” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1 in Tucson, Arizona. The case has captured national attention. Surveillance footage from Guthrie’s doorbell camera revealed a masked, armed individual outside her home just before her disappearance. This footage led authorities to treat it as an abduction.
In February, the Wall Street Journal noted that state and local authorities continue to spearhead the investigation. The FBI provides support when necessary. Following the disappearance, President Donald Trump contacted Savannah Guthrie, offering full federal law enforcement assistance. “I directed federal resources to assist the family and local law enforcement,” Trump said in a Truth Social post shortly after the incident.
Blanche regretted not having a public update on the investigation. “It’s heartbreaking when a case like this unfolds on a national stage,” he added.
