An arrest warrant has been issued for Dr. Jill Stein, the Green Party’s former presidential candidate, after she failed to appear in court for a hearing related to a 2024 assault charge.
The court session was scheduled on a Monday for 9 a.m., but neither Stein nor her attorney was present. Prosecutors, however, attended the session.
Judge Karma Johnson of St. Louis stated, “There will be a failure to appear warrant for Ms. Stein,” as reported by St. Louis Magazine.
The charges are connected to a protest at Washington University in April 2024, which was about the conflict in Gaza. During this protest, over 100 individuals were arrested by police, but charges were filed against only two people, Stein being one of them.
Stein faced charges in March 2025, including misdemeanors for assault and trespassing.
