The crew aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln has faced a prolonged deployment. Since November, they have remained at sea, exceeding their intended timeline by over a month. However, reports suggest they will soon be relieved by the Pacific-based aircraft carrier, USS George Washington.
This rotation will provide much-needed respite for the sailors who have been away from land for an extended period. The changeover aims to maintain strategic readiness while allowing crew members some time off after their extended service.
