Health Impact

The CDC reports that 55 individuals have fallen ill due to salmonella or E. coli infections. These cases span across 15 states, with Minnesota and Wisconsin being the most heavily affected.

Among those affected, four people have required hospitalization. It is crucial for individuals in these states to be particularly cautious and avoid consuming alfalfa sprouts until further information is available.
