Indefinite Ban Imposed
According to Front Office Sports’ Colin Salao, Sky owner Michael Alter confirmed the ban. Kanter Freedom can only return if he proves he can follow rules without posing a threat. This follows discussions with spectators who confirmed Kanter Freedom initiated the exchange with Sky’s Natasha Cloud.
Attempt to Provoke
Alter described the interaction as ‘trash talking,’ enough to capture Cloud’s attention and provoke a reaction. Alter noted Kanter Freedom did not cross the baseline but became a threat by approaching a player.
Background of Enes Kanter Freedom
Kanter Freedom was the Utah Jazz’s No. 3 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. His career included stints with several teams before it concluded. Recently, he gained attention for a video announcing plans to declare for the 2027 WNBA Draft over the league’s transgender policy, wearing a provocative shirt during the game against the Fever.
