Judge Nullifies Part of 9/11 Mastermind’s Confession

2 hours ago 0

A military judge has invalidated part of a confession made by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is accused of orchestrating the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The decision, reported by the New York Post, was made by military judge Lt. Col. Michael Schrama.

Lt. Col. Schrama determined that Mohammed’s statements to investigators in 2007 were not made voluntarily. Mohammed has been detained at Guantánamo Bay since 2003.

This ruling presents a potential challenge to the legal proceedings, which have seen significant delays over the years as Mohammed awaits trial.

The situation is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
