Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Supports Angie Nixon in Florida Senate Race

Angie Nixon, currently a Florida State Representative, is running against Ashley Moody in a special election. Moody was appointed to the Senate seat by Governor Ron DeSantis after Marco Rubio vacated it to become Secretary of State.

President Donald Trump supports Moody and criticized Alex Vindman, Nixon’s primary opponent, following his loss. Trump described Vindman as a ‘treasonous creep’ linked to the impeachment effort against him, celebrating Moody’s candidacy in contrast.
