This week, the nonprofit cooperative with Mr. Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., named Securing American Greatness, revealed its inaugural national advertisement. However, the advertisement focuses on Mr. Trump rather than local congressional candidates. The President, although the funds have not been directed towards candidates yet, remains confident in the impending deployment.
“I have raised a substantial amount of funds, and while details are unknown, it approximates $850 million,” President Trump stated prior to embarking on Air Force One towards South Carolina on August 21. “The expenditure will be considerable, incorporating my own resources, for Republican candidates that I favor.”
President Trump and his supporters reference historical political tendencies, asserting that when he urges his base to participate, they respond. He is fervently encouraging them to act as if he is up for election.
“Please pretend that my name is on the ballot,” President Trump professed during an August 21 rally for Senator Darline Graham in South Carolina. “Your participation is crucial.”
The principal donation from MAGA Inc. entails a $827,000 investment into Graham’s campaign. The super PAC’s contribution to midterm races in 2026, prior to Graham, totalled only around $18,000. Although during the preceding year, spending was about $1.7 million, it amassed $401 million by the end of the second quarter.
Next week’s focus on Mr. Trump intensifies as the GOP prepares for a midterm convention in Dallas, akin to a presidential style event. Planned are numerous speeches and a ceremonial balloon drop, intended to highlight emergent party figures. Nevertheless, CBS News discloses that some contestants in tight congressional races will be absent.
“I must be campaigning. No votes occur for me in Washington or Dallas. I need to be present in Miami,” Florida Republican Representative Maria Salazar shared with journalists outside the Capitol.
