Braden Peters, known online as “Clavicular,” is a 20-year-old influencer facing legal challenges. He is accused of severe criminal activities, including rape and drugging a minor, following an incident on May 23, 2025.
Peters, involved in the “looksmaxxing” subculture aimed at enhancing male appearance, allegedly victimized a 17-year-old girl. Court records from Orleans District Court in Cape Cod, Massachusetts reveal that Peters faces three charges: rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and providing liquor to a minor.
The allegations, initially reported by The Bulwark, also include his interaction with the victim on Instagram, where he paid her to appear on his livestreams. According to the victim, Peters instructed her to misrepresent her age as 18 and disguise alcohol as water during these streams, leading to her intoxication.
After the livestream, the victim reported non-consensual sexual activity at Peters’ home. She did not receive a forensic exam following the incident. NPR has refrained from naming the victim, respecting privacy in sexual assault cases.
The victim previously filed a civil suit in Florida, accusing Peters of battery, fraud, intentional distress, and unauthorized use of likeness. These complaints included allegations of non-consensual sexual acts and unauthorized injections during a livestream.
Andrew Moss, her lawyer, confirmed the plaintiff in the Florida and Massachusetts cases is the same. However, Peters’ representative criticized the inconsistent legal approach by the plaintiff, questioning why sexual assault was not initially included in the civil suit.
Peters, who has a history of legal issues, was earlier involved in a physical altercation at an Airbnb and faced charges for shooting a firearm at an alligator. Although he hasn’t publicly addressed the recent charges, Peters responded disparagingly to the lawsuit on social media.
Peters’ arraignment is set for October 14, marking a critical date in his legal proceedings.
