Randy White Endorses Ken Paxton in Texas Senate Race

Dallas Cowboys legend Randy White, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, has publicly endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race. White expressed strong support for Paxton in an exclusive interview, praising his willingness to take action and speak the truth.

“Ken Paxton will get in there and get things done. He’s not afraid,” White said. “That’s one thing I really like about Ken. He will get in there and say what needs to be said. He doesn’t hold back.”

White’s endorsement stems from his personal relationship with Paxton and their collaboration on initiatives concerning children and the opioid crisis. White noted Paxton’s backing of the National Child Identification Program, which provides kits for parents to keep their children’s identifying information secure.

The program is supported by federal funding advocacy led by Paxton, with White acting as a Hall of Fame ambassador. White, who lost his son-in-law to an accidental opioid overdose, stands with Paxton in tackling drug-awareness issues. Together, they participated in a public service announcement to raise awareness about fentanyl-laced drugs.

“This opioid stuff—I lost a son-in-law to opioids, accidental,” White said. “He’s been right on top of that ever since that happened.”

White drew a sharp contrast between Paxton and Democratic opponent James Talarico, citing distrust in Talarico’s policies. He criticized Talarico’s stance on issues like transgender participation in girls’ sports and access to girls’ bathrooms. White voiced concerns over Talarico’s recent statements, which he felt demonstrated inconsistencies.

Talarico voted against restrictions on transgender athletes but later explained he would oppose trans athletes participating in girls’ sports if it threatened safety or fairness, promoting localized decision-making instead.

White’s support for Paxton is unwavering, rooted in a belief that Paxton will consistently uphold his principles and serve Texas effectively.

Paxton previously secured the Republican nomination with backing from former President Donald Trump, whose endorsement bolstered Paxton’s candidacy. Despite competitive polling ahead of the general election, White remains confident in Paxton’s campaign, while also expressing his steadfast support for Trump’s policies.

“I love President Trump. I’m behind him 1,000%,” White stated, defending Trump’s handling of economic and international issues, including his strategy on Iran.

The general election presents a closely contested race, with polls reflecting narrow margins between Paxton and Talarico. White encourages voter turnout to ensure Paxton’s election.
