Vice President JD Vance is an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals. This passion shone through on Sunday when the Bengals triumphed over the Baltimore Ravens. Although Vance did not travel to Baltimore, he celebrated from afar as the Bengals scored all 35 of their points in the second half, largely due to quarterback Joe Burrow’s four touchdown passes.
During a visit to the Bengals practice, Vance and Bengals defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence were seen chatting. The practice reportedly revolved around quarterback Joe Burrow, emphasizing his central role in the team’s performance.
The Bengals’ display was precisely what fans anticipated from a potential Super Bowl contender, particularly in offense. Vance expressed his satisfaction on the social media platform X, remarking, “Huge win for Cincinnati.” His statement, “It’s early, but I think the Bengals are going to make a run. Who Dey!” reflects his optimism for the team’s future success.
The team has put together two consecutive wins, following a two-loss streak that came after another pair of victories. This back-and-forth performance suggests inconsistency, yet Vance remains confident.
“Special shout out to Ja’Marr Chase,” Vance noted admiring the Bengals wide receiver.
This affinity was further emphasized during a practice session where Ja’Marr Chase acknowledged Vance’s six-year-old son, Vivek, for wearing Bengals football gloves. This brief interaction was memorable for Vance, highlighting Chase’s talent and character.
There were rumors suggesting that Bengals players were indifferent during Vance’s visit to their training facility. However, those claims appear to be unsubstantiated. Vance spent time shaking hands and engaging with coach Zac Taylor, players, and assistant coaches.
Looking ahead, Vance is optimistic about the Bengals’ upcoming games. Four of their next five matches are against teams with losing records. This includes the Washington Commanders and the Tennessee Titans, each having only a single win. However, a key matchup awaits against the division co-leader, the Pittsburgh Steelers, which could be crucial for the Bengals’ run.
