Nick Jonas is a multifaceted entertainer known for his work as a musician, actor, and member of the popular boy band, the Jonas Brothers. Alongside his brothers Joe and Kevin, Nick has carved out a significant career in the music industry. He also enjoys success in his solo endeavors and acting projects.
Nick Jonas was born on September 16, 1992, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Denise and Paul Jonas. Although he was born in Texas, he grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. In 2005, Nick, together with his brothers Joe and Kevin, formed the Jonas Brothers band, signing with Columbia Records. Their debut album, It’s About Time, marked their entry into the music scene, but after a brief period, they parted ways with the label.
The band’s fortunes turned when they joined Disney’s Hollywood Records, releasing a self-titled album in 2007 that featured hit tracks such as S.O.S and Year 3000. Their popularity continued to rise with the release of A Little Bit Longer in 2008, followed by Lines, Vines and Trying Times in 2009. Despite their success, the group disbanded in 2013 as the brothers sought personal and artistic growth.
During this hiatus, Nick pursued a solo music career, releasing Nick Jonas X2 in 2015, which included the popular song Jealous. He followed this with the 2016 album Last Year Was Complicated and 2021’s Spaceman. The Jonas Brothers made a triumphant return in 2019 with their hit single Sucker and a reunion album titled Happiness Begins.
Aside from music, Nick Jonas has made a name for himself in the acting world. He starred in the Disney movie Camp Rock in 2008 and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010 alongside his brothers and Demi Lovato. His acting credits also include roles in Careful What You Wish For, Goat, and the blockbuster hits Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. In 2019, he appeared in Midway, and in 2021, he featured in Chaos Walking.
Nick’s television work includes his role in the series Kingdom and his stint as a coach on the popular singing competition show, The Voice, during its 18th and 20th seasons.
His personal life draws as much curiosity as his professional one. Nick Jonas is married to actress Priyanka Chopra. The couple began dating in May 2018, quickly got engaged by July, and tied the knot in December of the same year. They welcomed their daughter via surrogate in January 2022, marking a new chapter in their lives together.
