Jenny McCarthy experienced a challenging two-year period marked by severe health issues. She found herself trading her home for a tent to escape mold exposure. The ordeal began in 2024, leading to numerous infections and surgeries, as she explained on “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.”
“The last two years have been absolutely insane,” McCarthy shared with her audience. She had been dealing with mold and mycotoxin poisoning, which began unexpectedly with a toothache in 2024.
This health journey involved dental infections, surgeries, and unexplained symptoms. McCarthy’s condition worsened over time with dental troubles, jawbone damage, and recurring eye cysts. She also faced intense leg cramps, facial swelling, increased food allergies, and insomnia. These symptoms were later linked to mold poisoning.
Everything was poisoning me; I was a hot mess,” McCarthy admitted, reflecting on her paranoia about environmental triggers.
Eventually, her functional medicine doctor recommended mold testing, despite McCarthy’s initial disbelief. By Christmas, the diagnosis confirmed significant mold exposure, prompting an urgent call from her doctor. McCarthy shared that her body was at risk of seizures if the mold crossed her blood-brain barrier.
After her diagnosis, McCarthy followed an extensive treatment plan. This included daily infrared sauna sessions, various supplements, nasal sprays, and lymphatic castor oil packs. Seven months into her detox, she remained wary of her environment, choosing to reside in a tent due to persistent fear.
McCarthy acknowledged the psychological toll of her experience, noting her heightened sensitivity to mold. “I feel like now everything is mold,” she stated, emphasizing her ongoing struggle to overcome these fears.
