Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, was arrested by federal agents in Florida on Friday morning. He faces charges related to child sexual abuse material. Sources informed The Associated Press about the arrest, though they wished to remain anonymous due to the ongoing investigation.
Markle was apprehended near Tampa. Meghan Markle, known for her role in the U.S. television show “Suits” and marriage to Prince Harry, expressed her distress over the allegations. She mentioned that authorities found a collection of child abuse-related images at her father’s former residence.
In 2018, Meghan disclosed sending a letter with “troubling allegations” about her father to the London police. Meghan and Prince Harry married in 2018 at Windsor Castle, and they have two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Thomas Markle, a retired director of television lighting and photography, was absent from the wedding. This absence led to significant media attention on Meghan’s strained relationship with her father.
